What is Zuba Diving? Free diving + Scuba diving. Zuba diving is "surface supplied air" diving. It feels like free diving (snorkeling) but the air supplied from the surface feeds the regulators, a buoyancy compensator (BCD), and even a drysuit (if needed). Zuba diving has all the safety of Scuba Diving without the heavy tank on your back. You can have the best of both worlds - Scuba diving and Snorkeling. Become a certified ZUBA Diver TODAY!

For kids, UTD offers two different Marine Science Kids' Camps that are designed to educate children between the ages of 7 and 16 about the aquatic environment. In these camps, the kids will learn to be supervised snorkelers or supervised Zuba divers, and they will experience the realm of the underwater aquatic environment. As part of "Ocean Friendly," the kids learn not to touch anything underwater, so they are given cameras and spend time capturing images of this diverse habitat. The entire camp is focused on having fun and learning about the Marine Science and what we can do to focus on being "Ocean Friendly," whether on the surface or below the water.
